A recent case decided in San Diego shows that not all debts included in a Chapter 7 bankrutpcy case will be discharged. One of the many reasons that people decide to file for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 7 of the United States Bankruptcy Code is because it generally puts the financial problems that are leading to stress and suffering in the past quickly.  That's because there is only one round of payment that's made to creditors from the assets of the debtor, and the remaining debts are then discharged, or basically wiped away in the eyes of the law.  However, a recent case shows that not all of these types of debts can be eliminated in a Chapter 7 case.
